Christmas Extravaganza – You’re Warmly Invited!

Christmas is coming, and it’s time to step into the festive spirit with your neighbours, friends and family.
Sandymount Community Centre is delighted to invite you to our Christmas Extravaganza – a joyful evening that celebrates community, music and the magic of the season.

On the night, you can look forward to a vibrant programme of seasonal music, Christmas carols and spoken word, all with a wonderful international flavour. Our line-up will feature performers from across our global community, reflecting the many cultures and traditions that call Sandymount home. Expect familiar favourites, a few surprises, and plenty of chances to sing along.

To keep everyone cosy, we’ll be serving mince pies, festive refreshments and mulled wine, creating the perfect setting to relax, chat and soak up the Christmas atmosphere. Whether you come with friends, bring the whole family, or join us on your own, you’ll find a warm welcome waiting for you.

An Event Of Traditional Harp Piping & Harp & Poetry

Sandymount Cultural Programme invites you to an intimate night of music, verse, and warm community spirit – featuring uilleann piper Peter Browne and harpist Ann Tuite.

Expect gentle airs, lively tunes, and poems that celebrate Irish tradition, followed by an open, friendly trad session where the music continues and conversations flow.

Hospitality: The Practice of Welcome

Sandymount Culture Programme invites you to Hospitality: The Practice of Welcome –
an evening curated by Jennie Moran with inputs from participants from different cultures who will speak about hospitality in their culture and share samples of their cuisine. Jennie Moran is a visual artist whose work explores hospitality as a creative and connective philosophy. She is the founder of Luncheonette and the author of How to Soften Corners.
Recently awarded a scholarship at the Getty Research Institute, Jennie was also named Best Emerging Voice at the Irish Food Writing Awards and featured in the Irish Independent’s Ones to Watch 2025.
