Easter Festival 2025

We are delighted to launch the very first edition of the Easter Festival at Sandymount Community Centre, a special three-day celebration taking place from April 18 to 20, 2025. This new festival marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for SCC, as we continue expanding our community programming and creating more meaningful moments for everyone to enjoy.

Rooted in our values of inclusion, connection, and togetherness, the Easter Festival is an open invitation to the entire community to come together, celebrate the season, and share in the joy of being part of something local and uplifting.

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll find gentle moments to relax and connect, chances to meet new people, and opportunities to spend time with family and friends in a warm and welcoming environment. Whether you’re coming with loved ones, neighbours, or simply on your own, there will be something to spark joy, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.

This festival is a reflection of who we are and what we strive to be—a vibrant, inclusive space where everyone feels at home.

FRIDAY-Easter Talks

Easter Talks at Sandymount Community Centre – April 18

Start your Easter weekend with an engaging and thoughtful evening at Sandymount Community Centre. Join us for Easter Talks, a free event celebrating cultural traditions, reflection, and community connection.

This special evening features two guest speakers:

Réaltán Ní Leannáin
“Of Bunny Rabbits and Hares, Marriage Bans and Eggs – Easter in the Folk Tradition of Ireland”
Réaltán is a writer-in-residence and podcaster who will share fascinating insights into Irish Easter folklore.

Mauro Perez
“Pascua in Mexico!”
Originally from Mexico and now living in Ireland, Mauro will introduce the rich and vibrant Easter traditions of his home country, focusing on reflection, family, and community.

All are welcome. Donations appreciated.
Stay afterward for coffee, tea, and friendly conversation.

Optional: A relaxing sound bath session will follow the talks as part of our Easter Spring Renewal activities.

Restorative Sound Bath – Friday, April 18

As part of our Easter Festival 2025, Sandymount Community Centre invites you to experience a Restorative Sound Bath, an immersive session designed to promote deep relaxation and inner calm.

Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PM
Location: Sandymount Community Centre
Cost: €15 (Booking required)

Led by Caroline from Alchemy of Sound, this guided session uses soothing, meditative sounds to take you on an inner journey of peace and renewal. It’s the perfect way to unwind and reconnect after the day’s events.

Family Easter Party – Saturday, April 19

Join us at Sandymount Community Centre for a fun-filled afternoon at our Family Easter Party, part of the Easter Festival 2025 weekend. This free event will be joyful afternoon celebrating Easter traditions from Ukraine and Ireland! This event will feature traditional Ukrainian Easter egg decorating and is open to all ages with a great mix of creative, cultural, and community activities.

Admission: Free – All families welcome

Activities include:

  • Creative art stations for kids

  • A craft market featuring local vendors

Bake Sale

SCC Easter Festival – Bake Sale Invitation & Call for Bakers!

Join us on Saturday, April 19th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the SCC Community Center for an afternoon of festive fun, sweet treats, and community cheer!

Calling All Local Bakers!
We’re inviting all bakers in the area to take part in our Easter Bake Sale — a highlight of the festival! Whether you’re known for your cupcakes, cookies, or creative confections, we’d love to showcase your delicious creations.

Drop off your baked goods at the community centre from 10:00 AM on the day of the event.

Everyone’s Invited!
Bring your friends and family to enjoy a variety of homemade treats, meet your neighbours, and celebrate the season together. All proceeds support SCC community programs — so every bite counts!

Ukrainian Stars in the Irish Sky

As part of our Easter Festival (April 18–20), enjoy a magical musical performance by the Ukrainian Music Agency (UMA). This special evening will showcase an enchanting line-up of talented Ukrainian musicians.
